The Wheel of Time turns, ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the age that gave it birth comes again. In one age, called the Third Age. An age long ago, and age yet to come, a wind blew out of the Mountains of Mist. The wind blew threw the quaint village of Emond's Field. The wind blew dust upon the dirt road that winded its way through the village. The wind finally released one last mighty gust as it pushed through the village square, where Pierce Al'Vere watched the young girls of the town make final decorations to the Bel Tine Spring pole, as he and his friend Jed stacked firewood for the Bel Tine bon fires. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings or endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time, but it was….a beginning.
